Dedra's Story...
Dedra is a beautiful and sweet 8-9 year old female Australian Shepherd. Her family surrendered her to a high kill shelter in KY. She is super friendly, gets along with adults, kids and dogs and shows a lot of interest in cats. Dedra is mostly potty trained. She may have hearing issues but her vision is okay. She is a wonderful dog that has many years of love to give. She likes to lounge, and also enjoys playing with the 1 year foster sibling in the home.

Please note that we are a foster based rescue and do not have a facility, which means all of our animals are cared for in homes of wonderful people who have volunteered their time to help save them. Thank you for looking at our rescued animals and wanting to give them a wonderful home

If an animal is still posted for adoption, he/she is still available, but might have applications we are processing. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, it's in your best interest to submit an application immediately Emails will slow down the process, and while you are awaiting an email response, we may get applications if we already haven't received any. ;Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but gives you a head start with the adoption approval process. We do not schedule meet and greets until & the application is approved. We don't have a building so there are no viewing hours. All of our animals are cared in foster homes by wonderful families who volunteer their time to save these precious souls. We are all volunteers and work as quickly as possible between jobs and friends, and we thank you in advance for your patience.

The foster home is where you would go to meet this pooch with an approved application. You can find the canine adoption application at our website at www.angelsonwheels.org under the adoptions tab of the website.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dedra, a Naperville Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Naperville, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Naperville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Naperville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Naperville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Naperville paves the way for another one to be saved.
