I am already spayed, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Hazel's Story...
Meet our March 2014 Dog of the Month! Watch her video! Hazel is a perfection at its best. Sadly she was abandoned with a note ("moving but cannot take her.") She is sweet as pie, great with dogs and kids, and a total love-bug. She is the total package, and we know you will agree. Please come and see what a jewel she is. For more info on this dog, please call our shelter between 1:00 and 5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday (closed Mondays) at (818) 340-1687 or (818) 340-1186.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hazel, a Canoga Park American Staffordshire Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier/Labrador Retriever for sale in Canoga Park, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Canoga Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Canoga Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Canoga Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Canoga Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
