Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tiny, little, seven pound Frankie got her name after Anne Frank, the famous Jewish girl who was hidden by a German family in their attic during the holocaust. Why? Because Frankie was scheduled to die due to her extreme fear in the high kill rural shelter she found herself in. Certain shelter workers kept her hidden to protect her until a rescue was found! We were contacted and immediately agreed to take little Frankie. At only 7 pounds, anyone would be afraid in a cold, noisy shelter! We are told she was a stray that showed up on someone's porch and they took her to the shelter - that is the only information we have on her.
Frankie has a scruffy black and white coat. She is a young adult and we are guessing her age to be between 2-4 years. Once she was sprung from the shelter, she was placed in a quiet, safe, loving foster home where she began to thrive immediately! She is a snuggler at times, but also enjoys just lying on the sofa in the sun while her foster mom works in the next room. Frankie would do best in a quieter household with older children. She has really come out of her shell in her foster home. She is a little timid around men. We believe she may have been abused by a man at some point in her young life. But, her foster dad has been patient with her and she adores him now!
Frankie is busy learning basic commands and about using the bathroom outside. For the most part she is doing very well in a very short time, but still has a ways to go to be completely housebroken.
Frankie is a quiet girl but she seems to enjoy the company of her Pomeranian foster sister. She is definitely a "lap" dog. She loves to be carried around and to snuggle on any empty lap she can find! Frankie has been in foster for a while now, as we wanted to give her time to settle before she was spayed. She is now over the trauma of the shelter and fully vetted. Poor Frankie is such a sweet little girl. All she wants is to snuggle with her own forever family. She is such an adorable, petite girl, and wants nothing more than to love and be loved. She would do just fine in an apartment or townhome and doesnt need a huge yard.
Frankie has received a vet exam and a heartworm test and appears to be very healthy. She has been spayed and microchipped.
