I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

I am housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with kids.

Just look at the sweet face on Marshmallow! He is a darling little chihuahua mix who was sadly turned into the shelter just before Christmas by his owners on 12/21. He is a little nervous and confused at the moment. We would love for someone to come rescue him from this metal cage in time to celebrate the holiday with a loving new family. His previous owners reported that he is good with kids and housebroken. Marshmallow is 2 years old and weighs 11 lbs. He is current on his vaccines and upon adoption will be neutered, micro chipped and heartworm tested. Marshmallow's ID # is 562507 and he can be found in cage 309 in the puppy/small dog room.

When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers. This beautiful pet and many others need a forever, loving home and are available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter, 1060 Al Bishop Drive Marietta, Georgia 30008, call (770) 499-4136 for more information.

Act quickly to adopt MARSHMALLOW. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MARSHMALLOW, a Marietta Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
