Hi! I'm Rudy! I'm a darling little apricot poodle that's ready and waiting for a human to love me! Yesterday a nice group of ladies saved my life from the Orange County animal shelter. I ended up there at no fault of my own, though I'm very grateful to have made it out alive! See... I had been sitting there since December 3rd. And was rescued on December 21st. Eighteen days is a long long time to have survived in a kill shelter- I was behind double gates where no one could even see me. I was going to die there. Somehow I had an angel this Christmas that stepped up and saved my life. Can you believe I'm only two years old? It's sad no one wanted to take me home. Why? Am I too skinny? Well.. I had been on the streets for a while and ate what I could to survive. Was it because I sneeze and cough? Well.. I got sick sitting there in that cage. But now I've got medication and will be over this cold in 7 days. Or maybe I wasn't adopted because my hair is a mess; matted & dirty? A groomer could fix that up for me, if I had someone to have loved me enough to have taken me for a grooming. Unfortunately, I've never been to a groomers before. I hear it feels nice.. Fresh smelling, everyone wanting to pet me because I'm clean.. no more sores on my body from matted hair.. Pure bliss. Maybe I wasn't adopted because I walk funny? I have a previous injury to my back leg and a have a cute little swoosh when I walk. Someone out there will think its darling... Won't they? Saveabowwow and my foster mommy Kari saved my life.
