Trumpet's Story...
Sweetpea and Trumpet are two of the six “Flower Kittens” born at the Coronado Animal Care Facility in August to a stray calico momma cat. Even though she was young, she was a good mom and that combined with the wonderful foster care these kittens received makes them a pair of extra special kittens.

Each of the six siblings has a unique personality and they were paired into foster homes based on their relationships with each other. Sweetpea and Trumpet are two of the more reserved and gentle kittens. They enjoy pets from their human friends and like to snuggle.

But of course being kittens, they also enjoy their playtime – and pretty much anything is a cat toy in their eyes!

Are you looking for a pair of kittens to fill your life with unconditional love, lots of laughter and plenty of snuggle time? Sweetpea and Trumpet certainly fit that bill!

You can meet Sweetpea and Trumpet at the Coronado Animal Care Facility any day between 9:00am and 4:00pm (except holidays). The Coronado Animal Care Facility is located at 1395 First Street at the south end of the Ferry Landing complex.

If you are interested in adopting Sweetpea and Trumpet, you must first complete a Cat Adoption Application and meet with a PAWS of Coronado Cat Adoption Counselor. You may fill out the online cat adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trumpet, a Coronado Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Coronado, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Coronado.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Coronado already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Coronado breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Coronado paves the way for another one to be saved.
