Here's what the humans have to say about me:
1. What is your name?
My name is Penny.
2.How old are you?
I am a one year old that loves to play.
3.What do you look like?
I am a beautiful blue and white pitbull with a tall, athletic build. I have pretty lighter brown eyes.
4.What do you like to eat?
I eat Pure Balance lamb and rice formula. My dog brother has a very sensitive stomach and skin, so I just eat what he does. I do love every kind of treats. I am eager to learn new tricks and reap the rewards.
5.What kind of personality do you have?
I have lots of energy and love to play. Once I run out of that energy I love to cuddle up to my foster parents. I do get along with other dogs and am working hard on my socialization skills.
6.Describe your perfect day
My perfect day would consist of going on a walk and getting to play with other dogs. I get along great with the 3 human girls in my house and love to play with them as well.
7.What is your favorite toy?
I love to chew on my plastic bones. I haven’t really had the chance to play with a lot of other toys since my dog brother destroys them too fast.
8. Do you know any tricks?
I know how to sit and lay down. I am working really hard on learning to stay. I am a fast and eager learner.
9. What scares you?
Nothing really scares me, but I do get excited when the doorbell rings.
10. Do you like cats?
I have not been around any cats at my foster home.
11. Do you have any doggie best friends?
I have a dog brother that I spend every day with. We love to play and then at the end of the day we both rest on our doggie bed by the fire.
12. If you could be anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would love to be outside and running around. My foster parent don’t have a fenced in yard so I only get to go out on a leash.
13. How is your health?
I have not had any major issues so far. My right eye is a little runny, but some eye drops will fix that right up.
14. How long have you lived in your foster home?
I have been in my foster home for about a month and have settled in just fine.
15. Who do you live with in your foster home and who is your closest companion?
I live with a mom and dad. I also live with three little girls that are ages 10, 11, and 11. There is my dog brother Dublin too. I am really attached to my foster mom since she stays home all day with me.
6. Where do you hang out when you are home alone?
When I am home alone I lay in my crate. If you give me a treat I will gladly go in it.
17. Where do you sleep?
I sleep in my crate as well. I do not cry at night at all. I do wake up every day around 7:30 to go potty and eat my breakfast.
18. What do you love about your foster family?
I love how patient my foster family was with welcoming me in to their family and making sure I learn to have structure and follow rules.
19. What was life like before you were rescued by Even Chance and brought into the welcoming arms of your foster parents?
I was most likely neglected and not trained very well at my previous home. I was in the shelter for about a month before I was rescued.
Closing lines: Even Chance does not operate on a first come, first serve basis. In most cases we have already decided the type of home and owner we want for our dogs. These opinions are based on the temperament tests we perform prior to accepting the dog into our program and the behaviors the dogs display as they spend time in our homes. Our agency reserves the right to deny acceptance of any dog to an owner who we feel the lifestyle does not match that of the dog. We are in no way judging you or your lifestyle; we simply want to put our dogs in the best living situation possible. We take very seriously the decision we make when it comes to placing one of our dogs in a forever home. If I sound like the perfect pit bull for your and your family and you are interested in giving me a forever home, do not hesitate! Please fill out an application here and my foster family will contact you to schedule an in-person meet and greet. We look forward to meeting any and all interested applicants
