DECEMBER 22, 2013: Maxwell is a 6-8 month old black lab/border collie mix with ONE BLUE EYE and ONE BROWN EYE. MAXWELL was a stray in Bayard, NM, and was taken to Puppy Dog Ranch Rescue and Sanctuary by Bayard's NO KILL Animal Control Officer. MAXWELL was a wild child, probably having been kept in a yard, unattended, before being cared for by the ACO. He is approximately 6-8 months old, is very vocal; by talking to you, but is not a barker, is playful, feisty, very affectionate, is now quickly learning his house training and appropriate manners, loves children, is not a jumper, is now current on shots and is being neutered tomorrow, (12/23). He loves playing with our other 15 dogs, both large and small, but also loves running and playing in the snow and the puppy pool.

FEBRUARY 17, 2014 UPDATE: Maxwell is coming along nicely, and is a medium energy boy. Still very vocal when wanting to talk to you, which is very sweet. He plays well with all other dogs, large and small and is not a jumper or barker. He loves to walk around with a rubber bone or tennis ball in his mouth. He is a sweet, sweet boy.
