Lemonade's Story...
Hi, my name is Lemonade. I am about 4 years old I am all black in color. I was brought to the Humane Society as a stray, so they don't know much about my history. That's Ok though, I am looking for a new family to take me home and be my forever family. If you are interested in me, please come down to the Humane Society of Kent County. They are located @ 3077 Wilson dr Walker, MI 49534. That is on Wilson just north of 3 Mile. You must fill out an adoption application and have an interview with an adoption counselor before you can visit with me. I, along with all of the animals at the Humane Society, are spayed or neutered before we go home. We are also up to date on vaccines. If you have questions about what your adoption includes, or how the process works, you can visit our website or come on down. They are open Tue-Fri 12-7 and Sat 11-4. PLEASE NOTE: our adoption interviews end one half hour before our closing time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lemonade, a Walker Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Walker, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Walker.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Walker already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Walker breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Walker paves the way for another one to be saved.
