My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Clinique "Neeki"...If there was ever a dog that needed rescue, it's Neeki. She came into our rescue after being picked up by animal control. She had been hanging out in an area for over a year, being fed by people when they thought about it. She'd already had one litter of pups, and was pregnant again...

There was no way we'd say no to taking Neeki into our rescue. Several days after coming to us, this scared and very underweight girl gave birth to 14 pups. FOURTEEN. None of the pups survived, and weeks later, this beautiful, loving mama is still looking for them, and mourning.

As if that wasn't enough, Neeki's story is still unfolding. Based on her condition, Neeki has been bred over and over again. At some point, she was likely kept in a wire kennel. Desperate to get out, her front teeth are warn down to nubs and stained black from trying to chew her way out.

Our vet as aged Neeki at 6 years, but believes she may not even be that old. Just an old soul.

Neeki, valued only for her breeding ability, desperate to escape, fed only when someone thought about it, mourning her lost babies....

And yet, still sweet. Scared, and learning what love and acceptance are, but still sweet.

Now, those days are behind her. She's ready for a home. She's ready for a family who will love her for her.

We are a shelterless rescue, which means we do not have a physical location, so it is not possible to come to see multiple dogs at one time. Our adoption fee is $450 and includes all their vetting, including their spay/neuter, and transport up to the Northeast.***
