THIS IS JUST A GENERAL AD FOR FOSTERING: Can't own your own dog for fear of long-term commitment? Want to help a dog and/or puppy who would otherwise be 'put to sleep' in a shelter? If you own your own home and have prior dog experience, please inquire. Must be over 18 years of age and own your own home or have proof of approval of a landlord. Yolo County SPCA provides all the expenses (vet care, crates, collars, leashes, toys, food, bowls, towels, etc.), you provide the love. Below is a video of a handful of dogs who were rescued from the shelter with the help of our foster homes and adopted out into forever homes!
We get lots of requests to take in dogs from the shelter, but because we do not have a facility and rely soley on foster homes, we can only take in as many animals as we have foster homes to care for them! We get requests to take in many breeds of dogs, of all ages.
If you are interested please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org thanks for helping! (This ad was created to search for foster homes, THIS AD IS VOID as far as what the breed says-SORRY, NOT AN ACTUAL DOG AVAILABLE).
Your message has been sent to Yolo County SPCA.
You'll receive a copy, too, at to help you keep track of which pets you've inquired about, and which shelters and rescues you've emailed.
NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures, on the pet's details page on Adopt-a-Pet.com.
