Robbie (TCR)'s Story...
Sweet sweet Robbie! What a love bug this little guy is! Only about a year old. Robbie came to the shelter as a stray cat but must have gotten lost somehow because no one would ever want to give this great cat up. He seems fine with other cats and loves people! Apply for this sweetie pie today!

All of our cats are spayed or neutered and up to date on age appropriate vaccines before being put up for adoption.

IMPORTANT: Upon approval, we do not hold cats/kittens for more than 5 days. When you submit an application, you should be prepared to get your cat/kitten soon. The Trenton Animal Shelter no longer takes checks. All adoption fees must be paid in cash or money order.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Robbie (TCR), a Trenton Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Trenton, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Trenton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Trenton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Trenton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Trenton paves the way for another one to be saved.
