Mercedes's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Mercedes's Story...
It is hard to believe how much Mercedes has changed as a foster dog. She came from a shelter as a very frightened young, Lhasa mix with her coat of hair shaved to the skin due to a very matted coat. This wonderfully, devoted little girl has blossomed. She has a lovely light tan coat of hair.
Mercedes is shy when meeting people for the first time. She prefers females, but she is friendly with men who have previous dog training experiences.

Mercedes is a young, 1 1/2 year old who likes playing with toys and other small dogs. Her favorite thing to do is to run and chase with other dogs in a yard.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mercedes, a Covina Lhasa Apso/Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso/Maltese for sale in Covina, or seeking a Lhasa Apso/Maltese dog from a breeder in Covina.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Covina already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Covina breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso/Maltese breeders who help with Lhasa Apso/Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Covina paves the way for another one to be saved.
