This adorable little guy is Avery, a pug mix that is a little over 3 years old. Avery came to us from our Newark facility in search of a great home of his own. He was found running in the streets of Newark, all alone. Who could let this little fella go? We'll never know, but we're glad he is safe now. Avery is a great little guy that looks as though he could be a tough guy, with his little underbite, but that's not the case with Avery. He's a real mush and is so affectionate with his friends. Avery is a little shy when he meets new people, but give him the chance to warm up to you and trust you and he'll be your best friend. He wants nothing more than to sit beside you and have you pet him. Avery is enjoying his time in our exercise yard, and is loving all of the toys in our toy box. He will play for a while, but then run right over to get more attention. Avery is a well behaved little guy that walks well on a leash and will sit nicely when asked. Avery doesn't seem to mind other dogs but would prefer a home with no children under the age of 10. Please give our adorable little Avery the fresh start in life that he deserves! File#23185 12/23/13
