Lucy's Story...
Born March 2013, Lucy loves leash walks on the trails by Jordan Lake with her foster family. When it's time to head outside, she comes up quietly to sit in front of her foster mom with her head held up for the leash to be attached. She loves having a routine and is quite content in a crate when you are busy. Lucy gets so excited when let outside in the fenced yard for playtime. She should be a good citizen at a dog park, as she gets along with many other dogs in our rescue. Lucy is three fourths boxer and one fourth unknown ancestry. Playful, meek, nondominant, sensitive, cheerful Lucy gets along well with dogs, cats, and people.. She would be a very devoted dog to a caring owner who doted on her. She has been friendly to a child at her foster home. Her fawn and white coat is low shedding and maintenance free. Boxers tend to keep their puppy ways well into adulthood. Email petsavernc@bellsouth.net for an application for this loving, gentle dog. Adult weight should be in the upper 40's to low 50's. A two week trial with refund is offered on any Petsaver NC dog. lucy has been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, vet checked, and takes heartworm prevention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Chapel Hill Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Chapel Hill, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Chapel Hill.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chapel Hill already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chapel Hill breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chapel Hill paves the way for another one to be saved.
