PIPER's Story...
(Better pictures coming soon) PIPER is a four year old Spaniel mix owner surrender. He weighs about 45 pounds, but could stand to lose a pound or two. He is a loving dog that would do best in a household with older children and adults. He is house trained, crate trained and does not bark. He gets along with the other dogs in the house, but would rather be with people. He loves to go for walks and play fetch with his rope toy, but he also likes to sit quietly with you and just watch TV. He has been to a vet consistently since he was a puppy. He has been neutered, up to date on his shots, heartworm tested and on prevention. He is an awesome sweet guy and very gentle at play and taking treats. He will make any couple a fantastic addition to their family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

PIPER, a Wilmington Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Spaniel (Unknown Type) for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Spaniel (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Spaniel (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
