found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am up to date with shots and good with dogs.
Bluto is a big goofy ball of energy who we picked up on a recent trip to Animal Care and Control. While we were walking the rows and checking out the dogs, there was one who just wouldn't leave our intake directors alone. He got very excited every time we walked by, and cried as we walked away. Well, you'd have to have a heart of stone to ignore such a plaintive plea for help! We took Bluto out, introduced him to Peaches, and they hit it off! With that (and some head scratches) we were ready to make Bluto part of NLOL.
This slobber-monster of a dog has a lot of learning to do - he is quite unruly, but responds well to direction and treats. With some time and training, he'll be a great dog! Our best guess for his breed is some mix of lab, mastiff, and perhaps boxer - he has a very boxer head profile. He has the energy level of a young lab or boxer, and the adorable wrinkly forehead of a mastiff. Who knows? All we know is that Bluto is a sweet boy and will make some lucky person or family very happy.
Bluto is currently staying in a daycare situation, but he's not really enjoying being around so many dogs - he's just too obnoxious for most of them! He'd do well with a tolerant lady dog who likes to play rough. Cats are the great unknown with this boy, but we are happy to cat-test for potential applicants. We've seen Bluto with older kids and he likes them, but we'd suggest that he go to a home without any smaller children (a.k.a. bowling pins)... Bluto doesn't know his own size/strength and would easily knock smaller children over.
