My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

August 2015 update: Bree is such a pretty young lady, and now she has bionic knees! She had a condition called "knee dysplasia" and has gone through two surgeries to make them stable and well. Now she is off exercise restriction and is so happy to run and play with her friends again!

Bree's foster mom says, "she is doing so well. She is coming out of her shell and recognizes familiar people at home or the dog park. She will mingle more. If she gets frightened she will take herself to a safe place then check back in; she is sooooo sweet!" Bree will only be considered for a home with at least one other canine buddy. Bree is one year old and is a great medium size!

Bree is living with several dogs and cats and she is doing great with everyone. She is shy with humans on first meeting and will follow the lead of a trusted canine friend to know that the human is safe to meet. She is loving and sweet, she thinks her foster mom is a cool chick! They go to the dog park, and Bree is such a great ambassador.

We think Bree is a lab/terrier mix and she is only about 45 lbs. She is too shy to go to a home with small children but older patient kids could help show her that humans are OK. She loves to hike and play and run outdoors with her furry foster siblings. Once she bonds with you she will be your loyal girl!

Bree has beautiful markings - her Mom is a yellow lab and dad is unknown. There were originally 11 in their big litter! The rest of these cuties have found their forever homes; Bree stayed with us so she could get her surgeries and be healthy and ready to romp with her new family!

To apply to adopt this dog, please visit our web site to access our application and learn more about adoption through Lucky Pup Rescue, www.luckypuprescue.org, or request an application via email, luckypuprescue@yahoo.com.

Please note, we do not have a physical location, but we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.

Thank you for considering rescue! Bree is fostered in Cumberland County, ME while she waits for her forever family to find her.
