Shepherd/Boxer Litter's Story...
A litter of nine pups (7 males and 2 females) were born in Georgia and brought to North Carolina on a rescue mission. They are now (12/28/13) 9 weeks old and range in weight from 4 lbs. to 9 lbs. They were initially listed as Shepherd mixes, but are beginning to look like they have some Boxer involved. Their names are : Chingy, Snoop Dog, Wiz, Too Short, Ludachris, LL Cool J, Lil Wayne, Sugar Hill, and Nelly. They are presently up to date with their shots and are scheduled to be spayed or neutered on January 6, 2014. They could be adopted before then, but could not go to their new homes until after their surgery. Each pup's adoption fee is $100. Certainly, they are not housebroken due to their age. However, most dogs are eager to please and can be housetrained. To find out more about these pups, contact their foster home at (828) 293-5629 or jean@a-r-f.org. A few of the pups will be at ARF adoption on Saturdays from 1-3 in Sylva. To see the entire litter, it would be necessary to make an appointment with the foster parent.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shepherd/Boxer Litter, a Sylva German Shepherd Dog/Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Boxer for sale in Sylva, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Boxer puppy from a breeder in Sylva.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sylva already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sylva breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Boxer breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sylva paves the way for another one to be saved.
