Here's what the humans have to say about me:
What an endearing sight it was the first time Farfel's rescuer met Maycee...there she was lying upside down on her back getting the belly rub of a lifetime! Her very relaxed mouth was stretched into an ear to ear smile. As we approached, Maycee lazily got up...and we couldn't help smiling at the most adorable face ever. Maycee, with some serious grooming would be a gorgeous girl! She was so pleased to see us that her bottom wagged and it worked its way up her furry body. Maycee didn't seem to have tons of anxiety that her euthanasia date was the very next day. At just about 1 years old and only 6 lbs...Maycee had seen it all and allows life to just happen. Our rescuer knew immediately that Maycee not only deserved a great life...but also knew that the hour she spent with Maycee at the shelter made her smile. She was loving, funny and absolutely a lovebug! Maycee, of course, was immediately sprung from the dismal shelter and happily cuddled up in the car. She was temperament tested, vetted (passed both with flying colors) and sent along to her foster home to practice her home skills and wait for her transport to Colorado...her great temperament had earned her a ticket to a new life in CO. We envision Maycee in a home with a retired couple or individual...she would keep their laps warm forever. She would be so happy with walks of any length while not requiring vast amounts of exercise. She's also very portable at only 6 lbs and would love to accompany her favorite people on as many adventures as possible...she has that kind of spirit. Maycee is actually a low-maintenance girl who is only asking for a family to take a commitment to a furry family member seriously. She's asking to give all her love and to receive snuggles, kisses and great care in return. Maycee is a non-shedding girl and will therefore require grooming and great nutrition to keep her cotton-soft coat healthy and matt-free. The only photo we had available of Maycee was her unkempt shelter photo...with a great bath and brushing...Maycee will be the most adorable pup around.
Maycee will be transported to Denver on 2/8. Applications are currently being accepted for this sweet and devoted companion.
