Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Pinto is a truly great dog. I have been fostering pit bulls over the past few years—and have enjoyed it. But, comparatively, Pinto is uber easy. :) He is house-trained, crate-trained, knows sit, stay, lie down, go peepee and a few other commands. He is honestly an easy dog to care for and to love—he’s a pleaser. I would really like to keep him, but I am moving to a new rental house in January and can only take my 3 pets. He is super smart and gets along with everyone and everything—dogs, cats, men, children, plastic Santas, etc. Like I said in his description, he would be perfect for a family with another dog or two, and a 9-year-old boy named Timmy.
There are 3 things about Pinto that any potential adopter should know: 1) he really needs to be with a person or family that has another dog for him to play with—he’s a dog’s dog, 2) he is about 1.5 years old, so is still a puppy. He is not a rough dog at all, and can be super gentle, especially when you are loving up on him. But his size (44 pounds) and exuberance sometimes make him a bit too energetic for a toddler, and 3) he really wants to play with every dog he meets, so he can be a handful to walk at times. I have been working on making him understand that he should not lunge at the other dogs (not aggressive, just overly playful), but he still has some of this.
I am neutered, michrochipped, up to date on shots and heartworm tested. Adoption fee is $125.
Please email us to find out which adoption event I'll be attending this weekend.
