Chip's Story...
Flora is a red dachshund about 5 yrs old and Chip is her dachshund/chihuahua mix son at 18 months. they have been thru a lot and need to stay together. From their original home with an elderly couple, to the Clevelend TN pound, to a neglectful home where they were starved, these pups are still loving and playful. Chip is quite adventurous and brave- not afraid of anyone! Flora would be content to sit in a lap all day, but shows her true dachshund nature racing like lightning across a field after a varmint. Spayed, neutered , micro- chipped and UTD on shots
For more info on Chip( who is still in Tennessee and can be transported safely to your area) and to fill out an application, please contact suzanne-k@juno.com or call 423-266-5003

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chip, a Brattleboro Dachshund/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Brattleboro, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Brattleboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brattleboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brattleboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brattleboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
