My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say howdy to Cowboy-

We encountered this little guy while trapping a colony of cats for spay/neuter. Cowboy was living behind a restaurant, and while the employees were doing their best to feed these cats, poor Cowboy had to compete for his share of the food. One of his eyes was so severely infected that it had to be removed. He may look a little rough right now, but don't let that *rugged* look fool you -Cowboy is a total sweetie. He's been doing great since the surgery and is taking it all in stride - the staff at the clinic said he was one of the sweetest patients they'd ever seen.

Cowboy may have had a rough start, but this little black & white kitten is loving his new life indoors - he'll just curl up in your lap and purr away. Cowboy enjoys watching the antics of the other kittens and will join in, but this sweet boy is just as happy relaxing alone, chilling in his little bed. Cowboy likes the adult cats and kittens in his foster home, but he'd do fine on his own. We're not sure how he feels about dogs, as he hasn't encountered them in his current home.

Cowboy is approximately 12-14 weeks old, and will come to you neutered, dewormed, and up to date on all his vaccinations. He tested negative for FIV/FeLV as well. Cowboy Cowboy only has one eye, but animals are very adaptable. Most likely he lost the vision well before the surgery and had already made the adjustment. One-eyed pets generally do not require additional special care, though it's recommended that they are indoors only.

Cowboy will soon be ready to meet his family and start his wonderful new life, so email us at animalhelperneworleans@gmail.com for an adoption application!!
