Yogi's Story...
Yogi is a 3 year old, gorgeous brown long-haired male with a fluffy tail sprinkled with copper highlights. Even his whiskers are a dark chocolate brown! He has a very lovable personality, and is glued to his foster mom.

Yogi has tested positive for FIV. FIV cats like Yogi who show no symptoms may live a normal lifespan, provided they are kept indoors. FIV is absolutely not transmittable to people or dogs, and it is not easily transmitted to other cats. Yogi is neutered, microchipped, receives a monthly flea preventative and is up to date on his shots.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Yogi, a Worcester Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Worcester, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Worcester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Worcester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Worcester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Worcester paves the way for another one to be saved.
