Dear, sweet Casper was found on the streets of Los Angeles rummaging for food. Having lived most of his life as a “bait dog” - a loving woman found him starving and covered in battle wounds. One look at his sweet face she knew he needed to be saved - so she brought him to The Village Vet where he has now become our loyal, loving clinic dog. He enjoys his daily walks and is always happy to receive his treats and hugs from all who work here.
That said – it is time for our gentle Casper to find a foster and/or forever home. He has too much love to give and needs more room to stretch and play. Casper is about 8 or 9 years old, neutered and has a healthy appetite. He loves to be outside and enjoys rolling in the sun. He would do best in a either a dog-free home or with another senior dog who is mellow, a canine buddy who likes to sleep more than wrestle ;) No cats please!
Casper just really needs someone who has as big a heart as he does, someone who can spend time with him, someone who can be his best friend and let him know that he's safe. This dog is so special. After all he has been through you would think he would not trust another soul (human or animal) ever again. But he can’t help but love and survive and THRIVE! Please consider bringing this tender-hearted and handsome boy into your home. We promise you will have the best and most loyal companion in the world, and feel the greatest pride about who you've rescued.
