Rudy's Story...
Meet Rudy, an 11 week old purebred Blue Heeler puppy! He is a little fluff ball with beautiful markings and a natural bobbed tail. He struts when he walks and bounces when he runs. He is being fostered in Conway, Arkansas, but can be transported nearly anywhere. He is kennel-trained, super sweet and friendly, gets along with kids, dogs and cats. He loves his squeaky duck! This is a breed that needs a "job". They are bred to be working dogs -- they are highly intelligent and easily trained to work on a farm with livestock, or could be trained as a therapy dog. He's doing great on potty training and mastered the doggie door in no time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rudy, a Somers Blue Heeler puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Blue Heeler for sale in Somers, or seeking a Blue Heeler puppy from a breeder in Somers.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Somers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Somers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Blue Heeler breeders who help with Blue Heeler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Somers paves the way for another one to be saved.
