Hello everybody! My name is Gretta! I’m a one year old little girl, only 8lbs or so. My friends at NBS animal rescue best guessed me to be a Dachshund--MinPin-Chihuahua mix. I’ve got a long body and tail, with dotted white toes – which sort of flop when I am trotting to follow you around. I’m told it’s pretty cute.
At first, I can be a little shy, but not for long. If you've got some biscuits and like to wrestle with stuffed animals? Heck, we could be best friends! You can pick me up, but it might take me a little bit to relax and get comfy.When I am comfortable, I like to be held like a baby and have my belly rubbed. I'm an expert at cuddling up close. My foster mom laughs, because at night and in the morning, I have a ritual of burrowing deep in the blankets, wrestling thin air, hiding behind pillows and playing...then it is paws down CUDDLE TIME! I just looooooove to snuggle up close.
Lately, I've been spending my days in foster care, pretending to be tough to the cat (sometimes I bark at her...but honestly, she scares me when I get up close to her. She doesn't have claws, but who knows what cats are plotting, ya know?) My favorite game is chasing tennis balls and romping around the house. I could go pro with my stuffed toy wrestling experience. Did I mention I'm a great walking partner, and am 100% potty trained? I'm also pretty good with the kiddos now a days too. My foster mom takes me to visit her friends, and I love it when they give me treats and play tug of war with me. Wherever there is love and attention, that is where I like to be.

My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, De-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food.

You can fill out a simple online adoption application at www.nbsar.org and we will start processing your application right away! We do require that persons interested in meeting me apply online and be approved as an adopter first so please visit our website and submit your application today!
Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on it's vaccinations and heartworm preventative as well as spayed/neutered unless there is a documented medical reason on file with your veterinarian. Dogs must be current on DHLPP, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative, cats must be current on Distemper, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative at the time of application.
