Hiya there, I’m Carter! I’m a sweet boy, and am a maltese/shih tzu puppy. As you might be able to tell from my picture, I’m a happy camper – with lots of playful energy. I love to tussle with toys, play with kids and other dogs, and anybody who will give me a little attention. Life is pretty good since I’ve been taken in by my friends at NBS Animal Rescue.
Before I met them, my owner’s left me outside on a tie-out – which was no fun. All I really wanted was a family to love, and a lap to hop on. I really like belly rubs, ear scratches, going for walks and just doing doggy fun stuff with humans! Now, the folks at NBS Animal Rescue said that they are going to help me find a home, and a family of my own that will let me live and love life with them! Oh boy, I can’t WAIT to live life where it is warm, cozy and loving people are there to care for me. As soon as you take the time to get to know me, I’ll follow you everywhere. I’m also doing just awesome with potty training and learning basic commands. I’m happy to be where ever you are, especially if you like to nuzzle up and snuggle. It is getting pretty chilly out, I can definitely warm your lap and your heart!

My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, De-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food.

You can fill out a simple online adoption application at www.nbsar.org and we will start processing your application right away! We do require that persons interested in meeting me apply online and be approved as an adopter first so please visit our website and submit your application today!
Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on it's vaccinations and heartworm preventative as well as spayed/neutered unless there is a documented medical reason on file with your veterinarian. Dogs must be current on DHLPP, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative, cats must be current on Distemper, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative at the time of application.
