Cruiser's Story...
Hey Daddy-O! Don’t let the jive out of that bag! We wanna keep it cool and hip and swinging for the fences! You cruising for some companionship? How about you and me cozy up for a slow ride down Lover’s Lane? Other dogs, cats, little tykes 7+…they can cruise too. Low and slow and outta control! Well not totally out of control, I just get a little high strung at times. Hey, I am German Shepherd…you know how that goes, right? But I know how to “sit”, “stay”, and “down”. Rumor has it I am housetrained and my crate training is coming along great. All this and I am four footed and furry?!?!? Out of sight! Am I right? Can you dig a dog as thick as a bog and solid as a log? Well alright! Keep it Round Town and not Squaresville Momma! 6 years old-80lbs. My adoption fee is $160 and includes; microchip, neuter, reduced cost Training Class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cruiser, a Portland German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Portland, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
