My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jack is a 9-month old 13 lb JRT that has had a tumultuous life already. As a puppy, his owners would leave him "tethered" outside all day in all kinds of weather and at night time alone. He never got the loving interaction of being inside and having someone play with him or even handle him. However, you would not know that now, as my Mom and I have been nurturing him and watching him flourish with personality. To our amazement, Jack is housetrained and is on a schedule to maintain this habit. He is a bit "food agressive" and this is something that someone with experience could definitely teach Jack otherwise. He does get along well with other dogs and cats, if introduced gradually. Jack is a lap dog and loves just being with you. He obeys commands and listens very well. He is not a yappy, hyperactive dog because he will basically model what you do as an owner. If you are walking around the house, he will walk with you. If you are watching t.v., he will sit beside you. Jack loves to play ball and will retrieve it promptly for you to throw again. He will also play alone with this ball for hours pushing it around the backyard. In closing, Jack needs a loving home with people that understand the JRT. He wants a forever home and would be a wonderful companion for any family that will care for him properly and give him a warm bed to sleep at night with a full belly, toys to play with, vet care, and tons of love and belly rubs.
