My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maggie is a 6 yr old Red Tri Aussie. She is sweet and well mannered, house trained and always has a smile, in order to get extra attention. Maggie came to us as owner surrender, a bit overweight, due to lack of activity. In just a few days, she warmed up to the 2 Aussies in her foster home and started to learn how to play with them, and then learned how to be occupied with toys, in play and alone. With that play has come some much needed weight loss, which will continue. She now loves to run and chase and play tug of war with our dogs. She has remembered how to be a dog again!
Maggie is a very good listener and always comes when called. She knows other basic commands and does well on a leash. Maggie would do well with other dogs or as the only dog in the home. She originally came from a home with a 9 yr old child and seems to love kids. She shows no food or toy aggression. She also is not much of a barker...only barking when she is playing with the other dogs.
Maggie, like most Aussies likes to be wherever we are, but she lays on her bed or a rug nearby....she rarely gets under foot. Maggie is a real treat to have around and her forever home will be blessed with her smile and loyal companionship. Maggie is a medium energy girl and needs a forever home that will continue to keep her active and mentally challenged.
Maggie is spayed, current on vaccinations and micro chipped. She is being fostered near central IL and is now ready to find her perfect home! If you are interested in meeting this sweet sweet girl please fill out the ADOPTION APPLICATION and reference ASRM 0213!
