Ivy is a pretty little Shih Tzu girl. She came in as a matted mess, so her hair has been trimmed very short. Ivy is house trained and lives very nicely with other dogs and cats.  She is very timid and shy and most likely deaf.  She clearly has not been used to being handled.  She will allow me to pick her up  and will sit on my lap as long as I want her there. She loves her treats and meal time, and will follow me everywhere. She needs a new home that is quiet, and has the patience to teach an older dog about love.

Ivy has had a dental, she is current on all her vaccinations and has been spayed.  She is heart worm negative and has been on preventative.

K9HAVEN Rescue requires a securely fenced yard (no underground fencing, please), an adoption application, personal and vet references, a home visit and an adoption contract. K9HAVEN Rescue is a 501(c)3 rescue. Ivy's adoption fee is $75.  K9HAVEN Rescue does not normally adopt to homes with small children.

About K9HAVEN Rescue, Inc.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process begins with an application. Each adoptor is required to provide 2 personal references (3 if not a current pet owner and no vet reference); a vet reference; and a home visit. Our minimum adoption fee is $50, 12 and older are usually $75, 8-11 are at least $150, and puppy to 7 are generally $200. Pure bred, perfectly healthy dogs may run higher. All generally depend on vetting expenses. Each adoptor is required to sign an adoption contract which returns the dog to rescue if they are unable to keep the dog for any reason.
