Missy 2's Story...
S/F, 1-2 Years, Black Labrador Mix, Approx. 40 lbs.

Hi! I'm Missy, and I'm EXTRA sweet! My story is somewhat unique. I was surviving in a an abandoned bus out in the middle of nowhere. I had two canine companions (Mister and Maggie) and we kept each other warm throughout these chilly Colorado days and nights. Friendly folks from nearby would come and leave us food and water, but we refused to be caught. Finally, some seasoned Dog Rescuers came with all the necessary equipment (plenty of treats included there!) and used their skills and compassion to safely catch us and bring us to safety. How nice! We're all here at MaxFund, and so grateful for the warmth, regular meals, and the abundance of LOVING! I'm the most gentle and sweet dog of the three, and warm up VERY quickly! I would make an excellent doggie companion for any loving home! I'm charming, charismatic, and quite beautiful, as you may have noticed. Would you like to meet me? You won't be disappointed! I'm extremely loving and personable! I can't get enough of that good lovin'!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Missy 2, a Denver Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Denver, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
