My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We're always a bit shocked here in Colorado to get notification of dogs that are in urgent situations in the southern states. They're so frequently wonderful, beautiful and perfect...but will be euthanized regardless. Ian is one of these dogs and was welcomed into our adoption program. He passed his temperament testing and health check with flying colors and is being fixed and completely vetted. We think that ian will be overjoyed in CO! He's a small pup at 10 lbs...but don't be deceived by his size - he's a come-with kind of guy - leisurely walks in the mountains would speak to this pup. So sorry about the fuzzy photo..it's a shame because Ian is so beautiful...better photo to follow. Ian has reached a happy place in his life...he's safe, warm and respected for his excellent temperament and this has earned him a ticket to a new life in Denver. At approximately 6 years old, Jacob is at the prime of his life (these small mixed breeds are capable of living extremely long lives if given great care). He's way past having accidents or being disrespectful in the home yet has a zeal for life . He loves his people and would always be up for gentle interaction and a visit to any dog-friendly spot. Ian is very social and pleasant and greets neighbors (both human and canine) with a very positive attitude. He would enjoy at the end of the day...to just hang out knowing that those he loves are close. Ian is very capable of being extremely mellow and always wants to please and be appropriate. He would be very open to further kind guidance and positive reinforcement training to cement his bond with his family and further his education toward being the exceptional dog he would always choose to be. He'd love to come along in the car on adventures or just to socialize. Ian is such a gentle soul that we'd love to see him in a family that will nurture that tendency in him. Too many hours alone will break his wonderful and kind spirit.. and we'd therefore like him to be an important part of a family that loves to spend with their furry family member. Ian is a non-shedding guy and will therefore require periodic baths/grooming along with great nutrition to bring his coat to its gorgeous and silky potential.
Ian is being fostered in Denver. Applications are being accepted and Meet & Greets are currently being set up for this exceptional companion
