Etta's Story...
Sweet puppy born 10/24/13. Etta was rescued off the streets by our friends at Duck Team 6. Little Etta needs help with her anxiety and socialization so she's in foster care for a while. She's doing well there. Etta loves her foster mom's dog Bella!
Her foster mom said today "This morning she licked me which is a big deal because she is afraid of people. She is coming along great and will make a great pet!"
Her foster mom says she will go in a crate as needed and doesn't have any accidents when she's in it, but she keeps Etta out and Etta does very well. Housetrained and calm inside. She hasn't been around cats yet so that's still an unknown.
Etta's new family will need to have patience with her and be willing to work on reassuring Etta that she is safe and take it day by day building her confidence. A house with another dog but no rowdy kids would be best. How cute are Etta's ears?!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Etta, a Dallas Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Dallas, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Dallas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dallas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dallas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dallas paves the way for another one to be saved.
