Acorn's Story...
Little Acorn was found as a stray, living outside with her mother in a huge colony where we just completed TNR. This little baby was too small to return out so we are socializing her and getting her ready for adoption. She is a beautiful grey and white, petite little baby who is just very scared right now. Her mother was spayed and tested negative for FELV/FIV. Acorn is up to date on vaccines and dewormed. If interested please call FOWA at 973-902-7515 and download a hard copy of the application on our website at Our online applications are not working properly so please call.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Acorn, a Wayne Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Wayne, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Wayne.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wayne already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wayne breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wayne paves the way for another one to be saved.
