Hello Everyone,
I’m Darby, but you can call me Dashing or Darling. I’m a handsome and happy four year-old Bichon who is also energetic, sweet, playful and loves everyone; I love big people and small people, other dogs and even giraffes! I'll bet you haven't seen anyone quite like me!
Mom wants you to know that I am friendly, loving and mannerly little guy - but I'm no couch potato! I also like to play, play, play. Give me a squeaky toy or a ball I can fetch and I’m in heaven. My other favorite 'toys' are my doggie foster brothers and sisters. We run and play chase and have lots and lots of fun. Darby
Dad says that I love to learn and am VERY SMART. In fact he says I’m one of the smartest guys he has ever known! He says I’m also great in the car and that I'm a wonderful passenger. I sit quietly and just look out the window and enjoy every place we visit. He says to tell you also that I am housebroken, enjoy going for my walks and am always interested in learning new commands. I already know ‘fetch’, ‘sit’, ‘laydown’, ‘up’, ‘down’ and I come when you call my name. (That’s pretty impressive according to Dad!) And did I mention that I never jump up but ask to sit in your lap? I really want to please!
Now if you wonder how I am about being groomed, well Mom says to tell you I’m a ‘natural.’ I love being brushed, love being petted and give soft bichon kisses to everyone I meet.
I would love to be in my forever home with my very own people and maybe another furkid -- or I can probably be fine on my own, too. I'd also love to go with my people wherever they go – and would be amazingly good at something they call ‘agility.’ (Mom says that’s where I can show how very smart, graceful and agile I am.)
