Rory's Story...
It's a new year, and it's time for a new batch of lucky dogs! Our New Year's rescue from the Chicago Animal Care and Control Center included this sweet little fellow: Rory! He was so excited to break out of his kennel and start the new year in a forever home that he literally jumped in to our arms and has been there ever since.

Rory is a 1-2 year old, short haired fox terrier mix. His cute little markings and medium sized body makes him quite the looker! But this guy is more than just show. He is incredibly sweet and loves a good cuddle. While he does take some time to warm up to those around you, once you've earned his trust, you've earned a good buddy for life. Rory also loves other dogs as well! He is currently in a foster home with an older, smaller canine sister who is teaching him all the ropes and reinforcing good behavior and potty training. He already knows sit and is working on "stay" and "leave it!"

Rory will make an excellent first or second dog for a family or person who could provide him with enough confidence and love! Would you like to give Rory a go? Check out our adoption page for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rory, a Chicago Fox Terrier (Toy) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Fox Terrier (Toy) for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Fox Terrier (Toy) dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Fox Terrier (Toy) breeders who help with Fox Terrier (Toy) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
