My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Yogi and I'm a 55 lb. teddy bear of a dog who is sweet and timid. I am a very low key, gentle, 3 year old who acts more like a cat than a dog. My foster mom says I'm the easiest foster dog she's ever had, and she suspects I spent my life tethered outside since I am happy to hang out on the back porch quietly watching the birds and squirrels all day. I am completely housetrained, crate trained and quiet as a mouse. I don’t jump, bark, or chew on anything but my chew toys. I am shy around men, so I need to be in a home where a woman will be my caregiver. Sometimes I walk over to the men in my foster home, give them a sniff, and let them pat my head, but I prefer to do the approaching or I’ll back away. I love having another dog around, as I rely on other dogs to assure me that the people of the house are gentle and kind. I’m the perfect dog if you’re looking for a friend for the dog you already have (but you don’t want to add much commotion to your quiet life). I love long walks and trips to the dog park, though that is not a requirement. I’m a happy, mellow guy at home. My ideal home will be some place calm and quiet where I can follow my person from room to room and plop myself down on the floor beside you. What about you? Do you need a tender fella like me in your life?
