Ivy's Story...
Ivy is so sweet and just a real lover! She was left at the shelter by her former "owner" sho couldn't take care of her anymore. Poor baby didn't understand why she was in that horrible place and was so scared but we saw that face and just couldn't let her die there. She's only a baby and didn't deserve what she was going through! Ivy is 1 yr old, weighs under 15 lbs, is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is all ready for her forever family to come and sweep her off her feet. If you are interested in adopting Ivy please email us at ourbestfriendsrescue@gmail.com for an application.
Ivy's adoption fee is $350

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ivy, a Freeport Cocker Spaniel/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel/Dachshund for sale in Freeport, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Freeport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Freeport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Freeport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel/Dachshund breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Freeport paves the way for another one to be saved.
