My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Beans is a 6-year old Wirehaired Terrier Mix with the energy and personality of a puppy! She is a nice medium size (25-30 lbs) and loves everyone and everything. She will follow you all over the place and curl up next to you when you sit down (after rummaging around and getting in the best spot!)

She likes other dogs and most of them like her. She wants to chase cats and will try to get them to run. But she does not catch€%9D them. She does have criminal tendencies as she likes to take your possessions and sneak off with them. She is really quite good at it! When Beans first came to her foster home she forgot about the potty-outside rule, and had a few accidents. But she is remembering now (terriers are so smart!).

She was not doing well in the animal shelter and was having tremors and shaking. Being in a quiet home with just a few other animals has helped her--she stopped shaking! Right now she is underweight and her coat is thin. A good diet in a stress-free environment should fix that. She crates well and will go in with a little encouragement and a tiny treat. She keeps her crate clean and is quiet while in it. Beans is not a barker; she is actually very quiet so far. Because of her energy level and the tendency to jump, Beans would probably not do well in a home with small children. She needs someone who is calm and patient to help her polish her manners. Beans wants to be your constant companion. If you want a funny, energetic, ready to snuggle friend at your side, Beans is the girl for you!

This dog’s adoption fee is $225. Adopters must live within 150 miles or 3 hours drive of the Quad City area.
