My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Canton, named for the famous Hong Kong highway, is an all black female Highway pup. Canton, like her best friend Autobahn, likes to hang back and wait to see what high jinks her siblings will get into. Although she comes out of her shell a bit more each day, she still can't convince Auto to explore, so she usually just hangs back with him.

The Highway pups were saved by a wonderful Alabama rescuer who found all nine scurrying along a busy highway where they and their Momma, Freeway, had been dumped to die. As quickly as poor Freeway could pull one baby off of the busy road, another would run out. Traffic didn't even bother to slow down for them or swerve to miss them. A kindly rescuer gathered them all, but not before one was struck and killed - right in front of poor Freeway!!
