Shaggy's Info...

I am already neutered and up to date with shots.

Shaggy's Story...
When Shaggy came into the Shelter we thought he was an Otterhound as he was a mess with that shaggy coat. We took him to the groomer & he has turned out to be a handsome Standard Schnauzer Mix. He's a 3 year old, neutered male, weight 50 pounds. A real laid back guy that is easy on leash, likes everyone, loves a good stroll in the exercise yard then will come inside & lay quietly at your feet for lots of TLC

Act quickly to adopt Shaggy. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shaggy, a Lufkin Schnauzer (Standard) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Standard) for sale in Lufkin, or seeking a Schnauzer (Standard) dog from a breeder in Lufkin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lufkin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lufkin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Standard) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lufkin paves the way for another one to be saved.
