Shorty's Story...
It's a bunny, it's a kangaroo, NO! It's the adorable miss Shorty!

Shorty is a wonderful 6 year old, female, pit bull type dog mix who's currently located at Tillamook Animal Shelter and she is searching for a loving forever home!

Shorty is a happy, friendly, playful dog. Shelter staff say she is extremely well behaved and never messes in her kennel. While she doesn't like to make a mess, she does love squeaky toys. She would love to be able to enjoy some new toys in her new home, a big toy bin with plenty of different ones to choose from would make her a very happy girl! Shorty is also great with kids. She is a very happy girl when she gets to play with her children. Shelter workers say she was surrendered by a family with kids, and Shorty misses them very much. She would love nothing more than to be the companion to a wonderful child in her new forever home. If she had another canine companion as well she wouldn't be too sad. She especially loves playing with all the boy dogs at the shelter and would do great in a home with other dogs. Shorty is a pretty easy gal, she just wants a few toys to play with, some exercise and lots of love.

Shorty is already spayed, UTD on her vaccines and microchipped. She's all ready for her forever home! All she needs is you!

Are you ready to spend your life with this wonderful girl? If so, contact the Tillamook Animal Shelter and get your life started together!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shorty, a Portland American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
