My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

-Needs another dog to help him be balanced and comfortable
-Needs a strong leader and a structured home willing to provide the calm framework Dozer needs to not feel fearful
-Mandatory training with our trainer is required
-Dozer does have some fear aggressive tendencies that are very manageable with structure and leadership
-No children
-He isn't bad with cats but will chase and need to be supervised. Loves to play with kittens.

I have been doing some boot camp work and have been making great progress. I am learning how to find appropriate ways to deal with my fear and am beginning to realize that I don't always have to protect myself. Strangers make me nervous, but if you just take the time to get to know me, I am a happy boy, full of big slobbery kisses. My future home is out there they say, one with structure and patience. Consistency is key, I am most comfortable when I have a routine, and rules to follow. I need a leader to make me feel safe.
My favorite things are belly rubs, chewing bones and wrestling with my best friend Izzy. I can play rough, but listen very well when told to settle down.

-Dozer is an amazing dog. Full of love and all he wants to do is make his humans happy. He walks great on a leash, is very polite when it comes to eating, he waits patiently for an "ok" before diving in. He also knows to sit and wait at the door to be let in or out.
New people and new animals tend to make him nervous, but once properly introduced and shown that he has nothing to fear, he becomes a loveable boy, who rolls over for belly rubs. Dozer responds well to verbal corrections and is always looking to his handler to determine whether or not he is safe. He would thrive in a home with rules and consistency. He is currently residing in a training facility, and has had no issues with those he knows and has made great progress while being introduced to new people.
Please help Dozer find his home. This boy deserves it.
