Vix's Story...
Meet Vixen! She and her 9, yes NINE, siblings were dumped in a box outside the door of one of Southern California's highest kill shelters when she was just weeks old. Vix is now about 2 months old and is ready for her forever home! We know that they have mainly Lab in them with possibly Boxer, Pitbull or Border Collie (if you google "Boxador puppies" the similarity is astounding). Vixen is such a playful and curious pup! She is great with kids and she loves to cuddle, roll around in the grass and be around people. She gets along well with dogs big and small!
Vix's adoption fee is $200 which covers spay, initial vaccines and microchip. If you are interested in adopting this cutie, please fill out our online application: http://www.theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Vix, a San Diego Labrador Retriever/Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Boxer for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Boxer puppy from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Boxer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
