My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

These are the photos of Maggie after her surgery.........she was found in a dumpster at a Christian High School
weighing only 4lbs when found, her spinal cord and ribs were showing.
She was found in a oversized dumpster which somebody had to put her in as she could not have gotten in their by herself.....injuries to both back legs, one was broken and the other dislocated.
When taken to the vet immediately after she was found by a high school student who heard her meowing, her hunger was stronger than her pain as she tried to walk on the counter at the vets office to get to the dog treats.
According to the orthopedic surgeon who did the surgeries on her legs the injuries were probably a week old by the time she was found. More than likely her wounds were inflicted by a human (kicking her) as they were no signs of road rash as there would be if she was hit by a car.
Maggie had a dislocated broken leg and the hip socket was out and had to be removed on the other leg.
She is a fighter and is in a loving foster home recovering from surgery, she had the pin removed from the dislocated broken leg this past week and is mending nicely....Once recovered fully from her injuries in the following months she will be spayed and put up for adoption.
We will update you on Maggie's progress as time goes on.
that she was only weighing about 4 lb, her spinal cord and ribs were showing and even though she had one broken leg and the other one was dislocated she was trying to walk on the counter at the vet's office to get to the dog treats; her hunger was greater than her pain in both her legs.
According to the surgeon her injuries were probably a week old by the time she was found.
Due to her injuries and the size of the dumpster she never would have been able to jump in it, somebody "put" her there..more than likely her injuries were caused by being kicked, no sign of road rash so probably no car accident
