Meet Evie! Evie is a very sweet Boxer who was found as a stray. She obviously had a home at some point - she is house trained and knows to "sit" and "lay down" on command. Her face is very gray, and a vet estimated her to be around 10 years old, but she acts like a much younger dog! She came to the rescue as a little peanut of a boxer, but she has gained nearly 8 pounds over the past month in her foster home and has filled out nicely.
Evie appears to be picky in choosing her dog friends, but she does seem to get along best with more submissive pups. She is great with cats and will leave them alone--for the most part. On occasion, she can't resist the urge to chase one of her kitty foster siblings, but it is all done in play.
Evie is great with people - she loves hanging out with children and adults! She enjoys car rides and absolutely loves going for walks. She will be a great dog for a family or for single person.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
