MILO- Also see BUDDY's Story...
Adorable Shih Tzu brothers Milo and Buddy are sweet boys that are very confused and scared and not sure why they ended up at the shelter. Their previous owner turned them in on 1/9 because they could no longer afford to feed them. They are both very frightened at the moment and untrusting of people (who could blame them!?), so they will need someone who is understanding and can see past the fear to the wonderful potential they have. They are reported to be housebroken and good with kids. Milo is 5 years old and current on his vaccines. Upon adoption he will be neutered, micro chipped and heartworm tested. His ID # is 562861 and the brothers can be found in cage 313 in the puppy/small dog room.

When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers. This beautiful pet and many others need a forever, loving home and are available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter, 1060 Al Bishop Drive Marietta, Georgia 30008, call (770) 499-4136 for more information.

Act quickly to adopt MILO- Also see BUDDY. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MILO- Also see BUDDY, a Marietta Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
