My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Harland is 10.7 pounds of fun! He is black/tan and has a wonderful thick shinny, soft coat. He loves to play with toys - especially those that squeak!! He is very playful with humans and loves to give kisses (we say he can't hold his licker!). He is good with other dogs too. After a while of high activity, he will settle down to take a nap in your lap!

If you are interested in adopting Harland, you can fill out an application right at our website! Go to dreamhappytails.org/adoptform.shtml. Harland 's adoption fee is $325. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Harland will go to his/her new home microchipped, altered, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccinations. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees.

DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta, North Georgia and Savannah area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of these areas. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxies's back.
